In Loving Memory....

Our companions listed below are no longer with us but we still hold them with love in our hearts and memories.

“I love cats because I enjoy my home; and little by little, they become its visible soul.” ~ Jean Cocteau
“There are no ordinary cats.” ~ Colette              “To err is human, to purr is feline.”  ~ Robert Byrne
"I believe cats to be spirits come to earth. A cat, I am sure, could walk on a cloud without coming through." ~ Jules Verne
"Way down deep, we're all motivated by the same urges. Cats have the courage to live by them." ~ Jim Davis

Feather

Incoming Inspection

Our sweet Feather kitty passed away peacefully in the fall of 2024. She was an affectionate, loving, and playful cat who knew what she wanted...and wasn't shy about telling us! She loved her people and always kept track of where we were, keeping watch by the door when we were gone too long.

She was a loyal companion to Shelly during COVID and after, spending many days sleeping beside her, on a fleece-covered chair of course, while Shelly worked on the computer. Feather took her job seriously as she frequently reminded Shelly not to miss lunch, which she was always up for sharing, and that there should be an afternoon break for an outing outside for a bit of sunshine, a nap in the grass, or to chase a chipmunk, which was good exercise and great sport.

During the All New England Shop Hop, she was our main greeter when people visited our studio. Though she often succumbed to an afternoon nap, sprawled out in the bay window soaking up the sunshine.

She leaves behind her catnip toys to Misty and her favorite nap places to Nutmeg, who would often settle nearby to nap with her.
